GEORGIE JOHNSON
Teaches: Dance, Burlesque, Bodybalance

Georgie has been working in the fitness industry for over ten years with an extensive background in musical theatre and dance. And with Cath took over the running of Spin City Bristol in 2013.
Georgie runs both the Spin City dance and burlesque troupes and makes her classes challenging but also fun and exciting.
If you want to to learn to 'shake your thing' or just 'pose like a diva' then why don't you join her on a tueday night!

Cath Ballantyne

Cath started to learn pole in 2007 when Spin City was just beginning. And when Kate Edwards (Spin City founder) asked her to become an instructor she jumped at the chance and now many years later and she, along with Georgie Johnson, now runs the Bristol studio.

Claire Andrews
Teaches: Pole
Claire is a qualified and insured, 3 star PDC registered pole fitness instructor. She has been part of the pole industry since 2011 as an instructor, performer, competitor and judge. She has a background in dance and drama and uses these theatrical skills to enhance her teaching. With a keen eye for technique she is known for creating and teaching routines perfect for any ability.
Claire teaches Beginners through to Advanced students, as well as Pole Fabric for all levels. She runs a weekly class with a monthly theme at Spin City Bristol that is complimentary to your pole training. These classes include Pole Fabric, Bend and Extend, Pole’Ography and Spinning Pole.
Claire has an NVQ 3 in British sign language. If you are deaf or hard of hearing and use British sign language to communicate and are interested in learning pole dance, she would be the perfect person to teach you.
In 2017 Claire was nominated and shortlisted for ‘Most Influential Individual’ as part of the PoleExcellence Awards at Pole World Festival and in 2018 she was nominated for Spin City Instructor of the Year as well as ‘Outstanding Teacher ‘ and ‘Star Role Model’ at the PoleExcellence Awards.

caitlin annie
Teaches: Pole
Caitlin has been obsessed with pole since she first discovered it in 2012. She loves the camaraderie of the pole community and seeing how the sport inspires people and transforms their confidence.
She offers pole at all levels, in addition to Heels Flow classes which focus on the sensual dance element of pole, building the confidence and stamina to perform sassy, fiery choreographies.
Her students say her classes are " sassy,fun, energetic", "inclusive, encouraging and welcoming, always helping achieve more then they thought was possible", "very exciting classes with the coolest tricks broken into manageable steps by the best instructor", "extremely energetic and encouraging, a mood booster...I enjoy every minute of it, including the pain!"

Frankie took her first pole class in 2016 and she was addicted from that moment on.
She loves how supportive the pole community is and the effect it can have on peoples confidence and strength.
Frankie has been teaching since June 2019, she has a background in dance and her favourite type of pole is spinny!
She feels very lucky to be able to do what she loves for a living and share the joy of pole with other people.

Teaches: Pole

Kate first started pole at UWE in 2021. She loved the pole so much that she reinstated the pole society as its president in 2022. Whilst at uni, Kate completed her Beginner’s Pole qualification and began teaching sessions on campus.
​
As an ex-performer, Kate loves the theatrics she can display through pole and hard-style dancing, including kips, flips and drops.
​
Her love of human biology brings an anatomical aspect to class to help students visualise their muscle movements during her sessions.
​
Kate is currently only qualified to teach beginner’s pole, but she hopes to expand into intermediate teaching very soon!

​​Tegan first began her pole journey at Spin City Bristol in 2018, so she is delighted to be teaching at the place where her love first developed. She loves strength based moves and unique transitions - never expect two classes to be the same!

Sam has a background in multiple dance disciplines, from Ballet to Break Dancing.
He brings experience from these areas to his pole dance classes and helps his students build these important movement techniques… But no need to have any precious dance experience before you step in to his class!

Her main passions are teaching low flow and beginners as well as making pole as accessible as possible to people regardless of their background, previous experience or fitness levels.

Tee began her pole journey at university in 2018, and four years later graduated with a Masters in Mathematics - but it was pole that made the real impact!
Since then, Tee has performed at events across the country including Boomtown Festival, Blackstage, and The Pxssy Parlour! Discovering heels was a game changer for Tee finding her style, and she takes a lot of inspiration from strippers who made pole dance what it is today.
Tee loves to embrace her sensuality on stage and hopes to share this confidence with her students through her signature style and fluid combos
nicole pearson
Teaches: Aerial Hoop, Silks

Nicole is an award winning aerial specialist who has performed as for two Cirque Du Soleil productions (duo corde lisse and solo aerial silks, OVO Japan tour / vertical chains, bungee trapeze on skates, aerial hoop, AXEL North American tour).
She has also performed at worldwide at events for various Royal families; at high-scale corporate galas and launches (alongside such stars as Prince, Elton John, Seal and Katherine Jenkins); at festivals (Goodwood Festival of Speed, Glastonbury and the Henley Festival); on cruise ships (Costa Cruise Line); and in traditional circuses (Circus Flora, Circus Smirkus, the Zoppe Family Circus) and theatrical circus shows (Pendulum Aerial Dance).
